"I would like to start off by saying that Optek has been an answer to prayer. This is literally the best teaching tool that I've ever had in my hands. I really love the blues, classic rock, SRV - well you know what I'm saying - that kind of sound. But the Fretlight has helped me move out of my box and into different styles of music.

The Fretboard is all they claim it to be, very comfortable neck, stock pick ups are very decent. There is literally nothing this guitar cannot teach you, if you'll just sit down and learn. "I received my Fretlight guitar a couple of days ago, and I just wanted to mention that it is the most AWESOME, guitar ever! Although I waited on this guitar almost 13 months, it is definitely well worth the wait. I am a 37 year old mother and my 2 teenage children are dying to talk me out of this guitar. Not to mention, that will never happen. I have given them every guitar I have ever owned. They can save up for a Fretlight if they really want it bad enough (but, if they are nice, I may let them play on mine). I started playing on a guitar many years ago, and I can't read any music or tab. I play mostly by ear. I am a self taught player. Since I received this Fretlight, I now know a lot of the names of the chords I have been playing (instead of watching someone else and doing the finger here, here, and here bit) and I can read some Tab now.
