Retrofit pickups for your FG-421

NEW for 2007! The high output Shelby Designs™ retrofit Alnico Pickup assembly. Have these hot pickups installed on any FG-421 guitar.

This high-output retrofit pickup assembly gives you three benefits:

- Optek’s proprietary Shelby Designs Alnico Pickups. The flat-matched Alnico magnets give you a sweet, smooth responsive tone yet punch with attack when you drive them. These hotter wound pickups also yield increased sustain through the mid-range frequency thus balancing out your overall sound. Get the originality of passive pickups and the benefits of today's technology.

- Optek’s custom pickup and control wiring. We’ve wired this retrofit so that at different volume levels, the tone remains the same. Yes, our volume control is actually usable throughout its entire range! We changed the capacitors and the wiring so that finally, the volume and tone knobs actually work they way they are supposed to.

- A hot custom look – A white Pearloid pickguard with solid white pickup covers or a black Pearloid pickguard with solid black pickup covers. Give your Fretlight guitar the custom look it deserves.

The Custom Deluxe Fretlight Set-Up and Ext. Warranty Includes:

- A custom guitar set-up based on your playing style and string gauge
($95 value).

- One (1) set of Dean Markely Blue Steel Strings installed on the guitar

- Optek's Two-Year Extended Warranty ($100 value).
The Extended Warranty is non-transferable.

The actual set-up includes the following work:

- Fret Level (adjust the frets so that they are even
in height relative to each other)

- Polish and Crown the Frets

- Truss Rod Adjustment

- Nut Height Adjustment

- Intonation and Bridge Saddle Adjustment

- Re-String Guitar with New Strings (you choose the gauge)

- Tuning machines adjustment

- Complete electronics check which further includes:
