You can use any Mac compatible Internet browsers for the download. You can have the browsers preferences set to automatically open the file, or not, when the download is complete. If you don’t want to automatically open the file please look below. To have it open automatically, go to the Safari’s drop down menu and select preferences. A new window will pop up and you will be in the general section of Safari’s preferences menu. From the top down you will be looking for the second to last option. Make sure that the box is checked to allow the browser to ‘Open "safe” files after downloading’. Proceed with the download as normal after this with this option selected.
If you wish to not change this option the File will download as Disk Image file. After the download is complete a new icon will be created on the desktop. Double click on this file to start the install process. A new window will pop up with the install pak. Double click and fallow the instructions as normal to install. After the download is complete to remove the file on the desktop, because the file is a disk image, you will need to right click and selected "eject".
