There is so much software, where does a beginner player start? What do i need along with the guitar?

Print Save to list E-mail Subscribe That's a great question. The answer is simple - you DO NOT need ANY additional software to begin using your Fretlight guitar. The Fretlight Studio software has everything that you will need and is included in the Fretlight Accessory Kit which comes free EVERY guitar purchase. Now, here's what we recommend you do once you open the box: Step 1 - Watch the "Getting Started with your Fretlight" video series. Which you can find online on our homepage in the video section. Step 2 - Install the Fretlight Studio software from the Software Installation CD. You'll see 1 disks included with your guitar. The Software installation CD, which includes 4 FREE video player lessons.  Install the Fretlight Studio from the Install disk. Once that is completed, a great place to start is with the Lesson Player. The Lesson Player is included FREE in the Fretlight Studio. It is our text, pictures, and audio based lessons. You get 31 FREE beginner lessons and it also has a great chord and scale library built-in. You can launch it by pressing the 'Learn Chords and Scales' in the Fretlight Studio. There are three other software title can be also found in the Fretlight Studio. One is the Fretlight Video Player and it also has great lessons also but uses the power of video to teach you. You can launch it by clicking on 'Take a Video Lesson" and you can find the four free lessons on the FREE Fretlight install DVD-R. Our third party software, AxMaster, has a 2-week FREE trial. As soon as you install the 2 week FREE trail begins. After 2 weeks, the program will not open but a window will pop up letting you know that your trail period has expired and that in order to continue you need to go to www.freltightstore.com to purchase a registration key. Once purchased your key will be emailed to you. Simply copy and paste the key from the email to the registration window (the window that pops up when your free trial period is over) and that's it! Step 3 - Start playing!
