The new version of the Optek’s FREE Fretlight Studio software, 4.1.0.133 as of 3/31/10, includes that below updates, corrections and fixes. It is XP, Vista and Windows 7 compatible. You can download it for Free on this page:

Here are the latest improvements for this version:
• Video Player’s tempo remains at the percentage that you set while looping.
• Video player defaults to open the video folder in the Fretlight studio programs folder – that’s where the free videos get installed.
• Lesson Player’s mmx file was changed to fix an audio issue in lesson 21-31.
• The required .Net 2.0 Windows file is included within the install.
• M-player, Improviser and Video Player’s files (no matter where you have them on your computer) automatically open to their parent programs.
• M-player, Improviser and Video Player’s files all have the correct icons.
• M-Player now uses .flmid files but will still open your .mid files and then automatically convert them to the .flmid file format
• M-player, Improviser and Video Player’s ‘Help’ and ‘Read Me’ files have be updated.
• The Studio Installer has a New ‘End User’ Agreement.
• M-Player’s 9 free demo songs have been changed.
• Lesson Player’s ‘Tip of the Day” was changed and also updated.
• Video Player’s error messages where changed to provide better assistance.
• Video Player’s ‘Open File’ window goes to the location of the last file opened.
