Is the old SmartLIGHT or FG-200 series guitar upgradeable for the new software?

No. Sorry. The technology has changed drastically in 11 years and would have been cost prohibitive to allow this legacy connection. If you happen to own a SmartLIGHT guitar, you have a collectors item on your hands. Only about 3,000 of these were ever made.
