After I enter my ID into the demo GP6 to unlock the program and start the Updater I get an error message saying that I need to manually open the Updater as a administrator.

To start your GPUpdater manually, click on your Windows Start Menu and then click on “Computer”. In the window that pops up, double click your way through the following path: C Drive>Program Files>Guitar Pro 6 Fretlight Ready. Once you are in that folder, right click on the GPUpdater program and select "Run As Administrator" from the drop down menu. This will pop up a screen asking for you ID’s. Once that info is submitted you will just need to click on “Install” to start the download process. Guitar Pro 6 will auto start once the downloads are completed.
