I'm having trouble with my software. What should I do?

General USB connection testing and guidelines.
1. Make sure that you are not using a USB hub.
2. Don’t have any other USB devices plugged into the computer at the same time as the Fretlight.
3. Try all of the USB ports on the computer. The USB port on the back of a desktop computer is preferred.
4. Test another USB device on your computer to see if the port is creating the issue.
1. Run your Windows Updater until there are no more available updates.
2. Please turn off your UAC if you are using Windows Vista or 7.
3. Make sure your account is the administrator on the computer.
Click on the Start button. Select Control Panel. Select User Accounts and Family Safety. Select User Accounts. On the right of the User Accounts window, you should see your account name, account icon and a description listed. If the word "Administrator" is in your account's description, then you are an administrator. If you see "Standard user," then you are not and administrator and will need to log in as a different user.
